“The Grand Rapids Police Auxiliary is a dedicated group of citizen volunteers that assists the Police Department with various needs such as assisting at the State Water Ski Show, State Cross Country meet, Car Cruise, events around Lake Wazeecha, and many more.  They also hold an annual fundraiser called “Helping Hands” where they use donations from local businesses to buy Christmas presents for families in need.  Auxiliary Officers are both law enforcement students and members of the general public that enjoy helping their community. The Auxiliary is not funded by tax-payer dollars but instead relies on donations to operate.”
